A Quick Note on “28 Weeks Later”

In short, it’s a steaming pile of crap on George Romero’s legacy. Not only is it a rehash of other “zombie” films, but the ludicrous plot is thinner than the hair of a 50-something-year-old gay man trying to recapture his youth  by sporting Abercrombie & Fitch sweatshop clothes. AND it isn’t even resolved by the end of the movie.  Nope, you’ll need to shell out some more dough in another year or two if you want some closure to the story. If a major movie studio (I’m looking at you FOX and Universal) is going to make a film that relies on cheap thrills and CGI gore because their idiot target audience can’t follow a storyline or appreciate character development, at least make it a good meaningless film like the 2004 “remake” of Dawn of the Dead. So save your ten bucks. God knows Murdoch doesn’t need it to help pay Sean Hannity’s salary!
